Almost perfect
We did so much research before spending a lot of money to buy a realistic looking electric fireplace. After countless hours we landed on this one. Everything was so easy; the purchasing was smooth, the delivery was easy. The packaging was beefy, and it all arrived in perfect condition. The instructions to install were easy, the fireplace was everything we wanted. We installed it, the wiring was simple. It looks GREAT!! We are so excited. It was almost perfect, when on the THIRD day of using it, the spindle that turns to make the fire flicker began squeaking. It's a very audible squeak, and while it's a piece that is somewhat accessible, it's certainly not a 2 min fix. To spend over $2k on a fireplace, you'd expect it to work well for a long time before having issues. It's not a complete deal breaker, but it is definitely disappointing to spend that kind of money and have it need fixing right away. TL;DR: It truly is a very realistic fireplace. Happy we went with this one. Ours started squeaking on the third day. Probably a 20-30 min fix for an amateur DIY'er. Hopefully no more squeaking.

not at all happy,I did not realize that there was no remote and the unit will not support a remote. also I don't like the metal screens.
