We have a new home, walkout finished basement with a home theatre. This unit was placed on an outside wall and looks and performs beautifully. It is very quiet,with a very realistic flame and was a perfect source of that little extra heat we needed. As a bonus it was easy to add an outlet behind the unit so no ugly wire hanging down. Gas, 4500 dollars, this unit for less than 500 bucks, no brainer. Have a dimplex in our rv as well and love it too.

I have the fireplace in my master bedroom. It heats up my master bedroom and master bath like a dream. I've gone 10 years living in my home where the the master suite would just not heat. The nights were cold and the mornings in the shower were even worse. This has solved all of my heating problems! I can't believe it took me this long to buy one! The sand really helps create a different look with the flames. I've had nothing but compliments and crazy, unbelievable reactions! It's amazing! All praise Dimplex!
