This is the Dimplex 50" Synergy Linear Electric Fireplace Insert. An exciting addition to any residential or commercial space, this adaptable fireplace featuring clean, modern lines is stunning. You may choose to install it fully recessed for a flush finish, partially recessed 4" to stud depth, or on top of your wall for the ultimate in flexibility. This fireplace allows you to add ambient flame wherever you can hang a picture. The unit requires no venting. This firebox comes ready to plug into a regular household outlet or may be direct wired to a 120 volt electrical circuit. The realistic flame effect rises from a unique glass flame bed that shimmers as it projects. This 3D effect is patented by Dimplex and is truly the best on the market. Light shines and reflects off the randomly sized glass pieces creating an effect that is as alluring as it is contemporary. This fireplace operates with flame only or heat and flame for year-round enjoyment. There are two heat settings that operate at up to 4,200 BTUs providing supplemental heat for up to 400 sf. All options may be controlled from manual controls on the unit and there is also an on/off remote control. When you choose a surface mount application, an optional burnished walnut surround is also available to enhance the unit. Just had this installed in a dining room area and I couldn't be happier. The flame looks so realistic, and in Phoenix you can use this without the heat! So will provide lots of great ambiance and a perfect magnet to come in and gather. Wow, they have come a long way in creating electric fireplaces. I never thought i would go with anything but gas... but this is gorgeous and a lot more practical. The photo is a still from an i phone video, so not great quality.

This product interested me because the frame is very small resulting in a larger area for the flame. and it certainly delivered on that. it is beautiful, very sleek and modern looking. We have it installed using the recessed installation in a 45 degree corner wall that we created to house our wall mounted tv, which we also recessed. we plan to use it as a supplemental heat source in winter. The fan is quiet on both speeds. 3 speed remote is flame only, flame plus low heat, flame plus high heat. Installation was easy.

We built a recessed wall for the T/V and the Dimplex 50" Linear Electric Fireplace. We used the measurements from the installation instructions on this web site. The fireplace fit perfectly when delivered. It was completely installed and operating in less 30 minutes. We are in tropical Florida but wanted a fireplace to remind us of the cold winters of the north. The flame is very realistic and we use it every evening in flame mode only. We will also use the heat and flame mode when our temperature drops this winter. What a great addition to our living room wall.
