We have a small space for the fireplace on an interior wall, so anything but an electric would not have been possible. Because our house is old, the fireplace allows us to enoy our living room without turning up the furnace and heating the whole house. The fireplace is very well built and the woodwork is a very nice cherry finish. It took me longer to unwrap it than it did to set it up and get it running. This has been a great experience throughout.

We recieved the unit in perfect condition and it was completely assembled. Simply unpacked, placed on the wall and plugged it in. We have a well insulated house so this unit provides real nice heat for the great room and kitchen. Our heatpump takes over while we sleep. The wood is real quality and heater is very quiet. We love it !

I really like the frame/mantle. I also appreciated only having to remove it from the box - already assembled. I don't think it has all that realistic of a flame though. The logs look funny, like some tiny camp off in the distance. Also, the flames are too dim - not nearly as bright as I have seen from other brands. I was hoping for more color and brightness and that the logs would look better than they do - too tiny for size of screen and too many gaps. Just don't look like real logs to me. Fairly disappointed considering this was a [$] unit. The picture on the ordering page that shows the flames is really unrealistic.
